It's up to you to get Donkey Kong out of the greenhouse and exterminate the bees.. without hurting the flowers. But that's easier said than done! Because Donkey Kong has plenty of coconuts to hurl at you, and those bees know just where to sting you so it hurts. But, if you keep your wits about you, you'll score lots of points and have lots of laughs in the best Donkey Kong of them all.. DONKEY KONG 3!

Donkey Kong 3 Review
Overall - 9.5
Donkey Kong 3 on the NES is a great classic game. I remember playing this a lot of times and I can tell by how fun it is. It is kind of like a shooting/arcade game. It is really fun and is great to play with high scores. This game is different compared to Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr on the NES console. This game is probably the best out of the two. I really enjoy playing this game a lot.
Graphics - 9
The graphics are amazing. It is a little bit better than Donkey Kong Jr (from what I see). The effects are good and very classy.
Sound - 9
The sound is good. In this game there is music background. It makes the game more fun to play than the other two because of this. The sound effects are amazing. They sound like Kid Icarus-like, but more of a Mario thing. It is very good.
Addictiveness - 7
I would play this often because it is a 2D shooting game. Also because it is different than the other two. It is addicting some of the time. :)
Story - N/A
There is no story in this game. In this game, you are not Mario (surprisingly), you are a person that I do not know what his name is, but you just try shooting Donkey Kong up to a bee hive. I am guessing that there is nothing to rescue or anything, probably just trying to defeat Donkey Kong.
Depth - 7
There is more features in this game. Since it is a shooting-type game, you can move around and jump on one floor to the other. It is very strategic in parts of the game cause you want to avoid getting hit by the enemies. Another thing is, like I said, has music background. The other two did not, but this one does. It has a lot to offer, I guarantee you. I may be wrong about this, but I think that there is 4 levels in this game. The 4th level could be a bonus round or something, but I could be wrong. Anyways, no matter how many levels there are, they are very fun levels to play in.
Difficulty - 5
The game is not that hard till you get far into the game. I know that I have beaten the 3 or 4 levels twice and it does get harder. What I hate the most is the enemies. They are pretty much like bees, but some are different. Some can move differently and some can shoot at you. I get frustrated by them a lot.

Donkey Kong 3 is a great classic game to try out. I highly recommend trying this game if you have not already. Even though it is one of those old Donkey Kong games, this one is different and even better. :)

Released in the arcades in 1983, Donkey Kong 3 is the third of the 'Donkey Kong' arcade game series, changing the format to more of an action-shooter than a platform game. As Stanley the Bugman, players are positioned under Donkey Kong, who has taken over a multi-level greenhouse. Stanley's goal is to remove Donkey Kong from the greenhouse, but the big ape isn't willing to leave without a fight.Donkey Kong will agitate two beehives that are close to him to send down a swarm of angry Buzzbees, Beespies and destructive Queen Bees toward Stanley. These insects, as well as caterpillars which creep down nearby vines are intent on destroying the flowers below Stanley. Donkey Kong will also send down projectiles himself in an attempt to stop Stanley's attacks. Stanley must jump between the levels and use his bugspray to repel the insects, and send Donkey Kong into the next area of the greenhouse.Once Stanley pushes Donkey Kong high enough, a can of super bugspray will become available, allowing a larger shooting radius, and is able to send Donkey Kong up the vines faster.Once Donkey Kong is sent through the three levels of the greenhouse, Donkey Kong will end up with a beehive on his head, and the levels start all over again.

Donkey Kong Classics features the original Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. releases for the NES. I do not know why Donkey Kong 3 with Stanley the Bugman was neglected here. Both games are good fun, and they helped make Nintendo a leader in the gaming industry. This rom is especially highly recommended because most other roms of the game do not work correctly, having at least a garbled title screen.
